Dear Marti, I'm sorry I had to....

....break our date on Saturday, but it's not every day that I get a chance to have lunch with an Old Order Amish carpenter. Once I make a decision which background to use I will finish the block. I'm tempted to make a large quilt .
Meanwhile I've decided to start on a laser cut kit from John Flynn that should keep me busy for a bit. Anyone know of quilt shops in Minneapolis? We leave later this week for a hockey tournament and just thought I'd ask if there are any MUST see shops.

and the textile center...
depends on which part of MPLS, you'll be in. burbs?
SR Harris is north of the city which is a whole mish mash of different fabrics, not a normal quilt shop. Cheep stuff, on rolls. warehouse style... messy etc...
