finishing will set you free...

A quick finish of a little doll quilt...
prompted me to pull from it's slumber a Block of the Month that was begun nearly a decade ago... I have caught up to the month of May and will work on each set of blocks in the months to come. Surely in each thirty days I can find time to keep up with the two blocks in each packet...right? And while unpacking boxes I found this early piece of my hand quilting, also nearly a decade old with only one small area left not quilted. How busy life must have become that this small three inch area was never finished. There's no time like the present...

I pulled out all of my Doll quilt books last weekend and went through them all again! This is also one of my favorites! Just turned out so sweet!

I'm sure you moved the hoop from you hand quilting and laid it aside for later and it got covered up or packed away and poof! it's forgotten until now! Just a little work and you can be using it soon!

The little doll quilt is adorable, and I'm sure you're going to focus now on these lovely unveiled treasures...

"FINISHING WILL SET YOU FREE"
I should embroider that somewhere, and keep it right in front of my eyes !

BBH & smiles to you ;>)

Congrats on finishing the little doll quilt! And your BOM blocks look great! I know I'll see them all completed before long! The good news is you only have bit of hand quilting left and you'll have another finish! :0)

What a sweet doll quilt! Those BOM blocks look like they will made a wonderful quilt. Looks like you are close to another finish with that whole cloth quilt. It will be a beauty!

How wonderful that the amazing white quilt will finally be finished. I love all of your pictures -- so inspiring. I also love how gentle you were with yourself when you found the unfinished section -- understanding how busy you can get. I just love that.

I love your blog because it's so inspiring. Your hand quilting is so even and beautiful, I often come back for a new inspiration. I have a queen size quilt nearly pieced and its been a year. . .Shelly
