We love cornbread that has bacon and cheese in it. Its great warm or cold because it is moist. Recipe: 2 boxes corn muffin mix (or you can make them from scratch), 8 oz. sour cream, (1) 16 oz. can of creamed corn, 2 eggs, bacon (cooked and crumbled) and cheese (as desired). Make muffin mix as directed and add the rest of the ingredients. Bake in greased 9x13 pan @ 400 degrees for 25-35 minutes. We usually cut it into squares and put it into a zip lock bags till lunch time. It's very filling and tastes wonderful!
My favorite is blueberry cobbler from the Betty Crocker cookbook, we have lots of blueberries and raspberries right now!
I make potato salad, with cooked potato, diced onion, mayo and parsley. Yummy!!!!!
a couscous / cauliflower and shrimp salad
or grilled and marinated vegetables with some fresh bread and goat cheese

Old fashioned cucumber and onion salad. Mmmm...
We love a greek dish, can't remember how to spell it, but it's cucumbers marinated in garlic and salt and served in either yogurt or sour cream. If you want the recipe shoot me an email. My kids and now my husband love pavlova. Very simple, giant meringue covered with fresh whipped cream (no canned cream) and topped with fresh berries. Never fails and is always a pleaser.
Deviled EGGS! I think everyone knows how to make those too! Favorites and a must have no matter what else you serve!
I agree - deviled eggs! They always seem welcome on a picnic.
My family's all time favorite is my grandmother's recipe for Tuna Macaroni Salad. It's great as both a side dish or a main dish, and even the youngest ones love it. I'd be happy to share the recipe!
