The First Day of School

Somewhere tucked far away in the back of my head
I knew this day would come....

...but what I never imagined was how much my heart would ache.

My boy will spend the rest of the year at a Waldorf day school with his sister...
and I will try to keep my hands busy with all the stitching I
dreamt of doing when this day came.

Ah yes, mine is 16 and decided to go to high school. Part of me rejoiced the other part mourned.

Oh, my sweetie, how I understand your feelings ! Time flies sooo quickly with our beloved kids !
My heartful congratulations go to your son (G, such a wonderful picture of him!), as well as my heartful thoughts are with you.
Now he's going to discover so many new things and people, but YOU prepared him (and his sister) sooo well !
With a very special BBH ,

First days are tougher on mom generally than they are the one going to school. I know you'll fill the time but that does not mean you'll miss him any less. Hugs.

Though I never home schooled my children, I know how you feel.
I check your blog every once and awhile and I can tell you have prepared your children well. It is so obvious how much you love your children and always put them first.
Now, go ahead and enjoy the alone time you'll have. :)

If I may ask...what is a Waldorf school?
